Second night in coop/trauma

So I came home to put my chicks in the coop and when I opened my back door I could hear them screaming from across the yard. I ran over to see what was going on and they were all frantic. I tried to put them one by one in the coop and they weren’t having it. All of them were trying to run out. The total opposite of last night which was such an easy transition. What the heck could have happened???

^ did you check inside to see if there was anything crawling around inside that could've frightened them? Or perhaps if there was anything unsecured that could've fallen over (like I have my pooper scooper in there and it's fallen and sent all the birds into a tizzy).

I am not sure, but our guy who rents our cottage in then back just told me he saw a raccoon last night by the coop. I’m going to have to double lock everything just to be sure they are safe.
