Second sick bird in a week now isolated...first died...please help!

Thank you for the replies...I really appreciate the suggestions and support.
The weather has been mild here so don't think the heat is a factor.
Diet is unchanged and the only additional protein would be from the increase in summer bugs they are eating.

I have been giving her tepid soaks every couple hours and she seems to relax after those.
Eating some oatmeal with her favorite blueberries and drinking water but not alot.
She is not panting or wheezing anymore and the swelling seems the same as this morning.
We are going to head to the feed store for the suggested antibiotics. Will buy both just in case but I think we will start with the Baytril.
Never having done the draining....I am a bit concerned about hitting organs with the needle but hubby has processed lots of birds so I will get him to help as his anatomy is probably better. I hate the thought of her being in pain if we can do something to relieve it.
I remembered that there was a soft shell egg on the dropping board early in the week and put it down to our new egg layers. Thinking more about it only our older girls use that roost. Might have been from her

I read on one site that there can be a connection between viral bronchitis and internal egg laying...has anyone heard of this? Wondering if this could be a factor?
Thanks again!

Baytril you can get from a vet or order it for parrots from allbirdproducts. Penicillian you can get from the feed store. If you have amoxicillan etc at home for people you can often use 250mg. Hope hubby can help drain her. I had a banter polish who I drained a whole dixi.cup full of liquid from....so get a cup ready encased it flows. I.use a short needle and go in more sideways then straight in.... Best wishes.

Argh...no antibiotics at the feed store. I have to work early Tuesday but hubby is going to pop into the vet to pick some Baytril. Darn long weekend.
For now she is resting nicely in the cat crate in the family room. She seems to be quite interested in being the centre of all and very alert in the crate but when I take her outside to poop she clearly is not herself. We are continuing to soak her every few hours and there is not increase in the fluid. No temp...yeah! and I gave her a cooked egg yolk tonight which she devoured.
