Second & third egg double yolkers!!

    We got our very first egg on Thursday from one of our White Leghorns. The first two were small and we ate them up. I have been saving them since (got up to seven) then but decided to eat some today. It turns our the second and third eggs she laid were double yolkers!!


    I haven't cracked open the remaining 5 but as they are a bit smaller I suspect they are not double. I was just so excited since the only other time I had seen double yolk was on an egg farm where my friend had a job as a candler when we were in high school. And those eggs were HUGE! My girls have been no bigger than a standard medium egg so far. Just so exciting!! [​IMG]

    Those are great aren't they?! I have a pic of 3 double yolkers in a frying pan. I wish there was a bredd of chicken that could consistently lay double yolkers.
