Hi! I'm Beth from Roy, WA. I just rehomed the last of my Auracaunas that my late husband and I have had going for the better part of 20 years last summer, and I SWORE I was done!!! Well, my daughters family of 4 are living with me now and my 3-1/2 year old grandson asked for baby chicks the other day..... so now he and his 1-1/2 year old brother are the proud owners of 5 Silkies and 2 Dixie Rainbows. He has named one of the D. R's. Dixie (regardless of the sex) and Rainbow (in honor of one Silkie - our Angel Chickie, that didn't make it. Still working on the other 5's names. NOW he wants a cow too!!!!! NanaLand is expanding!!!!!

That is good that you have passed on the fun of animals to your grandchildren!

I hope you enjoy being a BYC member. There are lots of friendly and very helpful folks here so not only is it overflowing with useful information it is also a great place to make friends and have some fun.

If you would like to share pictures and stories of your flock, you have come to the right place. BYC’ers never tire of these and do not back away slowly or commence eye rolling when the photo album or home videos come out
