Hi! We had a little backyard flock years ago when I lived in New York, and we are doing so again now in Delaware. It’s amazing how much I’ve forgotten! Re-educating myself here. We had originally ordered chicks from McMurray’s, but due to avian flu, had to cancel our order.

I picked up six chicks yesterday from tractor supply. 4 sex links and a couple Rhode Island Reds. But now my heart is hurting reading about how many sex links die early deaths. :( I’m hoping someone has alternate and happier tales. It will break our hearts if they are unhealthy. While we appreciate the egg laying very much, we always loved having chickens as pets.
