Second Time Hatching — shipped & backyard eggs

so, anyways, a small update on the chicks from the first hatch. 2 weeks old tomorrow and it looks like there’s two already obvious cockerels ( pretty sure both hatched from the leghorn eggs ). It’d be real nice if those were the only two lol

Yeah, the little fuzz ball is already pretty obvious to what he is...which isn’t surprising given he likely hatched from a leghorn egg.

Leghorns grow pretty quickly. This is what my leghorn cockerels looked like when they were 3 weeks ( they all ended up being boys. straight runs at TSC suck )

It’s just a guess from past experience

Day 9 into incubation and the proper incubator thermometers finally arrive
now hopefully they’re accurate

Should there be movement on day 9? If so, I think all the remaining cochin eggs are dead...

They’re dead. All I have left from the shipped eggs are the welsummer and olive egger. I don’t know. I kind of feel like crying right now, the cochins were the ones I was looking forward to the most.

They don't always move when candling.
