For those less creative, and tryin to save a dime a good size cardboard box works wonders.
Just lay the top over it to keep them in. I have my 27 two-weekers in two refridgerator size boxes that I connected and they still have plenty of room to grow and it was $FREE$!
I took two refridgerator boxes and cut down one of the sides on each so they opened up. I put the two boxes together so they formed a bigger box and then laid another box inside to form the bottom. Tape it all together with good ol ducT tape and viola!
Pics coming!
Ok, and I appologize before hand for the crappy quality of these, but these were with our old cam (as our nice one had taken a dump the DAY before the babies got here! Can you IMAGINE?!?!) and we've since ordered a new one to be here any day now. But these will give you any idea of what I did. They are about double this size now, and still have plenty of room.
Only thing different now is theres Chicken wire on top held down with wood pieces to keep the flyin little boogers in it! lol
Oh, and I now have a 2x4 in it longways as a roost. All together it measures about 5' long and roughly 4' wide at the widest part.
