Security Fencing for chickens farms to protect form predators..

HI everyone,
I want to the different types of fencing available in the market to protect my chickens from the Predators and pests, I am afraid of the Predators entering into the farm. suggest me the best fencing to install.

So you are in India. Welcome, glad you found us. I'm not sure what predators you are protecting against or how big an area you are talking about. I don't know what is available to you but you can probably get anything I can in the USA.

Can you give us a little more information. How many chickens, the size of the area, stuff like that. Are you looking at a large field where they pretty much feed themselves or a fairly small pen where you provide everything they eat? For a large field some type of electric fence is probably your best option against ground based predators. Flying predators are a challenge but many of us manage. If it is a fairly small pen you have a lot more options. The more information you provide he better we can tailor our responses to your specific situation.

Hardware cloth is good, and burying it helps deter digging predators. For added strength, you can put an electric strand around the bottom, too.

A roof on the run can help, but it depends upon how big your run is. Clear sheet-metal-like stuff is best.

Electric netting is a favorite for 'free ranging'

Is your coop a barn? Check in the overhang of your roof. If you spot any holes, patch them with hardware cloth.

Some good questions have been asked... and I agree with @Ridgerunner.

If the option is available, I would go with a solar electric fence for a large area. The netting also can give plenty of space and works well against ground predators.

Poultry netting won't stop much of anything.
Pests fit through it and predators tear through it.

Poultry netting is good for containment but NOT for predator proofing (unless electrified). In MY area... a raccoon will reach through the "chicken wire" and rip chicken heads off happily. And weasel can easily fit through standard chicken wire and wipe a whole flock in one night regardless of gauge. What matters is the size of the hole, which is the reason many of us suggest welded wire "hardware cloth"... I also tried the smaller 1/4 inch openings, but discovered it's also a smaller gauge wire, so prefer 1/2 inch.
