Sedentary Hens?

My hens seem quite sedentary over the last couple of days, reluctant even to eat their feed, which on most days disappears as the day progresses, preferring instead to nap together under a bush.

Is this normal behavior for cooler weather?

You didn't mention where you're located and what is meant by cooler but even so, it sounds to me like they are sick. They should not be slowing their eating like that and they should not be that inactive. I would get them somewhere comfortable and draft free, and take note of condition of poop and look for any other signs that could indicate illness. Time may be of the essence here.
What is their diet? How old are they? How long have you had them? Any newcomers to your flock?

I'm in North Carolina. I have had the hens for about four months with no new additions to the flock. I have examined their poop but have seen nothing out of the ordinary. Puzzling.
