We are getting a good amount of snow. It is the heavy and wet kind that is already 6" and expecting the snow to keep coming well into tomorrow. We are going to see if the stuff can hold the load as I have is supported. Right now, five dominique roosters are actually being kept snow free by the overburden.

Deer netting like this style/thickness? About 5/8 inch square and super thin plastic?

Deer netting did not collapse even with heavy wet snow that was at least 16" deep. It looks like only about half the snow was retained at peak. By end of day all had fallen through.

The supports were 4 x 4's that where spaced uniformly between panels of 10' x 10' dog kennel. The netting was simply draped across the 4 x 4's and hooked at 6" intervals over the dog kennel panels. It held up well. Area over where birds roost will have a wooden panel installed that carries burden over a much smaller span so as not to collapse.
