Seeking Advice on Choosing My First Flock

Hello and welcome to BYC! :frow Glad you joined.
Good luck selecting the right breed for you.
Have you decided on a coop and run design? Whatever you pick, make sure it is plenty large enough for the number of birds you want to keep and it also has LOTS of good ventilation. Have fun.

i would highly suggest Buff Orpingtons! I rescued my Buff Sunshine from the rooster twice and she is super snuggle now! They lay plenty of eggs and are super docile, they are just yellow so not georgouse or anything, but they are a perfect breed for beginners! I also love Red and Golden sexlinks! They are Amazing layers, and pretty! Easter eggers are really fun swell, they lay blue, green, or pink eggs and they are another great breed for kids! I do think bantams are a good idea to with limited space!
