Seemingly healthy chickens not laying

I have a mixed breed coop 8 ladies and two roosters. 4 of the hens are old and not productive (retirement hens) but 4 are almost a year old and seem big and healthy and hearty (Rhode Island reds) but we only get eggs sparingly from them.

They get lots of sun because we live in Puerto Rico, are fed a mixture of corn and layer feed, get lots of healthy and varied snacks, and have a run full of bugs and worms to enjoy. We have had a couple changes now and again (integrating a new hen and removing some old ones) but nothing too shocking to their routines. So what else do I try? How do I get them producing more? They HAVE laid eggs - but we only get a couple eggs a week right now?!

Are they molting? That's all I can think of that might influence their laying, especially if they are healthy.

Stop with the corn and "healthy snacks".
Layer feed is meant to be the sole feed.
