OK, so I bought a few pullets from the local feed store. I thought I picked some pretty safe breeds...but now I'm thinking that I may have a roo in with the girls. Over the past week, twice I have heard 1/2 a crow come out of someone in there. The bird Im thinking is a ISA brown. My understanding is they are sexed by color when hatched. I originally had two isa browns, but gave one to my dad. For the 8 weeks I had both, this one grew faster and had more of a comb and wattles. The pic below is the bird in question at 10 weeks. The comb and wattles have not gotten much bigger...but then came in like this probably at 5 or 6 weeks old. IF its not him, I have two EEs, and I'm really not sure how to tell the sex of them.

Does it have slick back feathers were the tail starts check them all

I'd say give it some more time and wait for an honest to goodness real crow. I thought I had a roo before because I heard what I though was the beginning of a crow but it turned out to be a hen after all.
