The only kind I seem to be able to find is somewhat expensive. I am giving my guineas 20% right now, and they have done alright so far. I wish I could just give them some of my whey protein… haha

You can hard boil eggs and give them the crumbled yolks to increase their protein intake.

I seen someone suggest that, and I did not get around to it yet, but I gave them some dried mealworms. Hopefully that is alright. They loved them, and I figure that is what they would be eating in the wilds of Africa (bugs). I saw their wild relatives when I was in Africa, and that was part of the final motivation to get some!

I have only reaered one but I gave it chick crumbs and it did fine and is now laying an egg a day.

Not sure, heres the product page for Purinas gambird feeds. not all the links work as it seems there updating the page but theres an option to ask purina, maybe give it a try? i know other people have contacted them with questions and they were pleased to answer.
