Seizing duckling?!?

Hi all,
I am having the shaky leg problem in my bigger Campbell duckling. I only have two. They are 3 weeks old. I was wondering, if I order the mazuri waterfowl starter is that all they need then? No supplements to add or mix?
I can't believe how attached we are here already to these little ones. I want to give them the best care I can.

Thank you!
Welcome to BYC and advise from jennimig is right on. TSC carries Poultry Nutri Drench or the one closest to us does.

I just ordered some, but will check tractor supply when I go later. I needed to make a run for my chickens today too anyway. Thank you!
Please let us know how your duckling is doing..

Hello all! Just an update (not much to tell though). I wanted to give the niacin about a week to build up in their bodies before I try to mess with them again. I haven't seen any seizure activity though but I've been minimizing stress on them as well.

I never have owned ducklings before and, after this, I don't think I ever will. They are the messiest creatures I have ever seen. Worse than pigs. My barn reeks of their stench of water + food + duck poop! They drain gallons of water a day into their brooder no matter what I try. (I've tried a standard waterer, an empty milk carton with a hole cut out just big enough for their heads, and lastly, a paint tray.) There is nothing I can do to keep up with the messes they make. I am so ready just to throw them outside. Ugh. Are they always this difficult?

Does anyone have any good brooder suggestions for 5 ducklings that are almost a month old now?

PS: How long does it take for these things to grow feathers???? Holy moly, there's nothing easy about them, lol.

Glad to hear they're doing well.

This is my first time with ducks too, and OMG they're messy stinky little creatures! I had them in my house for the first few weeks, now they're in the attached garage so my garage reeks. Mine are about 5 weeks, 2 are almost fully feathered, the other not even close. I am ready for them to go out too, I know they'll be happier outside and I can get this funk out of my garage!

Sorry but it's a relief to know that someone else is going through the duckling-funk too, lol! At what age did yours start to feather? Mine have none whatsoever. Mine are like 3-4 weeks old I think.

About a week ago it was like they'd started to feather out overnight. My black east indie is almost completely rid of the fluff, the khaki campbell is close too. My special needs crested is just starting to get her real feathers, but she's probably running behind because of her struggles.

I keep telling myself that once they outside the smell and cleaning will be easier. This will be the last time that I brood ducklings inside. If I ever get more it'll be during the summer.

Ah ok so mine should start feathering in another week or 2 then, good! Yes, I'm with you, no more ducklings until Summer!! :)

So I gave the ducklings some outside time yesterday since it was so nice and warm. Between all the handling of moving them back and forth between pens there was no seizure activity!! It must have been a niacin deficiency. Between vitamins in their water and brewers yeast in their food there was no escaping niacin! Thank you all for your input! Fingers crossed that they continue to remain healthy!
