Hello all! Just an update (not much to tell though). I wanted to give the niacin about a week to build up in their bodies before I try to mess with them again. I haven't seen any seizure activity though but I've been minimizing stress on them as well.
I never have owned ducklings before and, after this, I don't think I ever will. They are the messiest creatures I have ever seen. Worse than pigs. My barn reeks of their stench of water + food + duck poop! They drain gallons of water a day into their brooder no matter what I try. (I've tried a standard waterer, an empty milk carton with a hole cut out just big enough for their heads, and lastly, a paint tray.) There is nothing I can do to keep up with the messes they make. I am so ready just to throw them outside. Ugh. Are they always this difficult?
Does anyone have any good brooder suggestions for 5 ducklings that are almost a month old now?
PS: How long does it take for these things to grow feathers???? Holy moly, there's nothing easy about them, lol.
