Selective breeding Quails for a bigger massive strain

Hello. Does anyone on here know much about selective breeding Jap Cortinoux Quail to gain a larger massive strain over time.I have done some research and I have a fair idea on how it's done but I'm just seeing if anyone has some different tips or ways or info I might not have come across

Take your largest 10%, breed them. Keep doing it. It takes time. There will be an upper limit on how big they get.

Oh, FYI, I know it's common in Australia and New Zealand to shorten Japanese to Jap, but here in the US, Jap is a racial slur.
