Self Blue (Lavender) Silkie Thread

Same here! I am just going to try to buy birds now too. I have 12 eggs from Sonew in the bator now but I think this will be my last batch and I will just save up for birds. As for what I have...one lav hen, one black split hen, a few possible splits (not sure on sexes yet) and just paid for a Lav roo but he won't ship until next week. I also have the chick I hatched that I just posted and a chick who is buff split lav (hoping to get some porcelains from this one) I hatched from littleameracuanamom's eggs.

As for the eggs I have heard from a few breeders that they have been expieriencing this as well. They develop, go into lockdown and never pip or hatch, just quit right before hatching. I have even heard this from breeders trying to hatch their own eggs...not shipped ones. These are people who also have no trouble hatching all of the other colors.

I counted tonight and I have 19 young lavender cockerels. They are between 4 and 5 months old. Some are near breeding age. I am going to offer them starting at $50 and going up to $100, depending on quality. Toes would be the main difference with some having better 4th and 5th split. They ALL have 5 required toes but some are better than others.

I will have extra pullets AFTER the two qualifying meets but for now I am holding on to most of them.

Email me privately if you might need one of these cockerels. THANKS!
