Self Blue (Lavender) Silkie Thread

I have a question: I have 3 silkies: a black rooster, a paint hen, and a porcelain hen. I hatched a few of their eggs for fun and got 2 black chicks and then this one. I can't tell if it's blue or lavender. I'm thinking lavender since porcelain carries the lavender gene, correct? I'm not sure how I would end up with a blue chick out of black, paint, and porcelain unless there's something I don't know.

Can someone explain to me where lavender comes from genetically? Like where it started?

Ideal Poultry has day old lavender chicks. The are advertised as “self blue” though.

Hello everyone from Finland.

Can i ask you'r help with my rooster. I bought him week ago and the person who sold me told before we picked him up that he is a blue rooster. Ok, we went to pick him up and for me, he don't seem blue. Maybe light but definetly not solid blue.

He is 1,5 years old in this pic. What is the color?

I know this is old, I was reviewing because I have a chick that I'm not sure of the color. Not sure if someone answered, but this chicken looks Mauve/lilac (andalusian blue gene over chocolate - so combination of the dilute on chocolate)
