Self Blue (Lavender) Silkie Thread

Donna!!!! Great to see your lovely butt here. For anyone that doesn't know.... Donna's outstandingly gorgeous white pullet won "Reserve Champion Featherleg" at the Ohio Nationals!!! That bird was a stunner.

I was resting after hosting a big ole silkie swap at my house today. LMAO I'm a glutton for punishment.

The gingers have the very dark black in the tail while my buffs are ironically very clear. We started with our very dark, almost maroon roo and a medium red pullet that I got from someone near me a few years back. I bred in a few darker Buffs and also have found some very typey gingers along the way (nearly impossible!). The pullets are the more difficult to get deep red coloring in.

Here is a pic of a Lav pullet (that I got from Jen5680 at Nationals) and a porcelain.

And the Lav by herself...

Hey Sonoran,

Here is the picture of the possible 'lavender quail' from the back side!

Not the best picture but I think it will give you an idea. She is very creamy... should have taken photo nest to a buff.

Her head isn't as dark as some of the pictures of the quail pattern that I've seen but maybe the lavender diluted?.?.?
