Self Blue (Lavender) Silkie Thread

Super doper awesome! I'm so excited. So I got a white silkie pair and the hen hasn't started laying again since I brought her home. Is it cause she's still settling in?

probably-I traded a black bearded roo last year for a hen and she took 3 months to lay-she was molting when I got her-give her some added protein -scrambled eggs and such:-)

It may seem wrong but I do it on weekends as a protein boost-I make about a 30 egg omelette and cut it into small pieces and throw it out to all my babies especially ones in the breeding pens-they love it...

Honestly, IDK? I have 2 female ducks as of 1 week ago and I have yet to eat the eggs haha- I dont see why not??? anyone else with opinions????

My mom does'nt want to eat the eggs herself so if I am not hatching them then I throw them down by the creek for the racoons and other wild creatures. So if I could feed them to the chickens I would have a use for them when I'm not hatching.

Could I use duck eggs?

Absolutely yes!
Duck eggs are an excellent source of protein. Scramble them up and feed them as a treat to the silkes.
