I'd like to see what the PI's look like as chicks too. Sonrise and I have been trying to figure out if her's are Lav's or PI's.

One more lav chick out of the black/lav splits. I'm so glad I let them hatch those eggs--started not to until I realized there was one black/lav split cockerel there too. Only two lavs so far out of 13 chicks, but there are 3 black/lav split hens and one white hen.

If by PI you mean Isabel Porcelain, so far, all I've hatched look very much like the lavs, but they have faint striping on their backs and have a slight buff cast. As they're feathering out, they're getting more of the buff, but not a lot. None of mine, except three that hatched sometime back before I knew what they were (I had one of Bren's lav roos with a mixed lot of hens including a couple of buffs) have matured enough to have their adult feathering. I lost the best one last year, probably to a snake attack. I'm getting my Isabels from one of the remaining ones, who has very light buff, and a nice roo I got from JohnF that also has very light buff. The third one is a pullet and has more buff--probably too much. I'm going to put her in with the other two soon.

The four oldest Isabels are three months old and looking pretty good. The other seven are almost 1 1/2 months old and at the "ugly" stage. Some have vaulted skulls, though, so I'm hoping for some fairly good birds.
