Bren told me that Lavender's have a harder time hatching. Not sure why, but she usually has to help some out. She tries to make sure that she is home when they are hatching. She said some of them can't even get out after they have zipped.

I am hoping my Buff/Lav girl from you starts laying soon, so I can get some Showgirl PI's. I am thinking she's about 5 months old now give or take a week. I can't for the life of me remember when she hatched. I know it was the later part of November though. She is the sweetest bird I have ever seen. She loves my husband! He will call her and she goes running right to him. Don't tell her she's a chicken

She doesn't know it yet. I pray nothing ever happens to her, because I am pretty sure that my husband would cry, and he's not really one to cry.

My lavenders must have has a GPS on each of their eggs because they hatched easier than any silkies I've ever hatched. And all but one had large vaults. I will say that I use a higher humidity with silkies than I ever did on other breeds and they seem to need it.

yep I heard trhat about Bren having to help. I should have interveined one was xipping fine and I hate opening the bator so I just left it and then 2 hours later it as gone.
