I voted!! That is one beautiful silkie!!
And I got my lavenders babies this morning! The PO called early and I had just enough time to pick them up befor I had to get to work.
I will try and get pics up soon!
What markings do your IP babies have? I'm getting IP babes too, but someone else who has them says theirs aren't marked the same as mine. I have more than 20 now, and the first batch of four are nearing maturity.

wow 20 that is so cool. I will take a pic but they look like lavenders with a very faint buff chipmunk stripe on their backs.
I wish I had 20. After I Posted this I went out to find devestation in one of my pens. Last night when I closed everyone up I reminded myself to close the last coops they were still lingering at the wateerer. My ds then fell down and I ran to help him and forgot to close that one pen up. Lost my favorite pq lav hen that I loved dearly, along with my PI from George and a few other wonderful birds. The PI roo is holding on but very badly injured. I am so mad at myself I spent an hour in the car screaming about how dumb I am. :cry

Oh I am so sorry
That is devastating! Did you lose your PI Hen? I hope the roo pulls through it. You have worked miracles with one roo, I know you can do it again.

yes I lost her. he is barely holding on. the whole side of his face was bitten, his beak is split and I am having a hard time getting air in him, one eye is gone and I had to sew his face back on on that side.
he must have taken a big bite to the face then hid tucking as low as he could, I found him head down in the coop part with the pi hen almost covering him up. He is in really bad shape, but since he survived the night and this morning I am giving it my best. if he can keep breathing I will tube feed him tomorrow and go from there. eventually If he makes it (probably a 1% chance) I will repair his beak with some apoxy or something like that and he has one ok eye so he will not be blind. although I expect if he does make it he will be deaf and blind and never handsome again on that one side. I dont know if I am doing the right thing but he tries to sit up hen he hears me and he is not damaged anywhere else. I have had some pretty wounded birds heal so maybe....
gonna try to get some asprin in him later to but am not sure if that is the best thing for him as it will thin the blood too.
