nope:-( but I checked the broody today and only 3 eggs were left-I hadnt checked under her for 2 weeks as I didnt want to disturb her-I did see and OE chick though tomorrow will be 20 days for them we'll see

What are the chances now that 1 out of 3 will be lav?? not so much

Wanted to say my Lav is doing good.

It's three other hatch mates which I orignally thought to be blues, look like they are actually blacks.

So perhaps I didn't get a B/B/S set of eggs. I think I may have gotten Lav and Lav spilts.

I didn't ask when I bought them. lol. She just said they were a mix of whatever. So you never know. lol

I'm hoping the lav is a rooster.... well a hen would be nice too. I really don't care either way.

AWWWW keep your fingers crossed!! It could be, ya never no??
I never heard of that wire brush thing either. I still really don't understand what it is you do.

Jen, you take a small wire brush and brush the ends of the feathers that aren't as shredded. This will separate the ends and make them appear more shredded like they should be. You can also use a flea comb.

yes all 3 hatched out and I def have 2 black ones and I THINK one is lav-it was just hatching out last night-so It was dark looking but alot lighter than the others? SO since I have never hatched out a lav before Im unsure Ill get photos today and post
