Nothing more than the fact they declinded our choice of Lavender for the name of the new variety of silkies....we have to go with the ABA and APA ruling. There are several other breeds that already have "lavender" varieties (color) and they are accepted into the standards of both ABA and APA as self blue rather than lavender. When I first started with silkies, I found self blue and blue confusing.

It is confusing. IMO lavender suits them but when in Rome... Put on a toga and call'um self blue

I've heard of homemade incubators......but the oven?
