Yes and I've actually been studying this in Silkies with a vet. The vaulted skulls are typical of exencephaly which is a variant of spina bifida.

I've always believed that wry neck in silkies is in some way connected to their vaulted skulls. How could it not be? I have a gorgeous white pullet that got it when she was about 2 months and got over it with treatment. I really think the prednisone helped her more than the vitamins, etc. Well after two nights in the upper teens she started showing signs of it again, so she's back inside on prednisone and vitamins again. Looks like she is getting better again.

Now, I don't know that the weather had anything to do with it at all...could be coincidental. But she was hatched with a HUGE vault. It doesn't take much to hurt their brain when it's only covered with a film of dura and skin!!
