No....I only cross lavender to lavender and ALL have been bred to blacks to arrive at this point. I get both lighter and darker chicks. So you are still wondering. Sorry

Thanks for the info Bren! I had a feeling it would not be an indication but I just wanted to be sure. I am hoping to have a chick or two to show this spring out of this batch!

Hi all.......I realize I should post this in the birds for sale, but thought I would put it here so that all the lavender enthusiasts will see it. I have recently been very busy with horses so I do not have the time I thought I would have to work on the lavender silkies. I have a small flock that I am interested in selling which consists of a Lav. roo from "Soozin" in New York, a lav. hen from Crested Horizon, a black hen from Crested Horizon, a black split pullet, another pullet that looked lavender until now (looks more porcelain), and a couple of lav. chicks. The 2 hens, the split, and the porcelain are vaulted, the roo is not. If you are interested, please contact me at [email protected] and I can send picks.

After a long awaited wait my cockeral "Romeo" will finally have his own lav girls! He is pictured first, and my new pullets to follow! So now I will have them in one pen for all silkies and my lavender showgirl roo over a lav hen and two split hens for 50% silkies and 50% bowtied showgirls!

All are just beautiful!

I have one lavender showgirl that is 1 1/2 months old, and another (I'm pretty sure it's lavender) that is one day old! The babe is the child of my beautiful black/lav split roo from Bren and one of 10 black ladies--several of whom are lav splits. Unfortunately, I didn't mark them, so I don't know WHICH one. Got two new lavs, a cockerel and a hen from Bren at Shawnee!

It's so much fun to share news and pics of our beauties! Hopefully I'll eventually be able to share pics.
