What is the most humane way to kill a chick..I have a baby chick that is ill and I see no way to cure it( Its believed to have crd)..I really dont want to kill this chick but if it cant be with the flock and live a good life I see no reason to keep it alive..any help would be appreciate

The fastest for the chick, although perhaps harder on us, would be to use SHARP scissors and cut off it's head.

where would the chick have gotten CRD unless exposure from others?
Could he have been chilled and has a bacteria type illness which can be treated?

what bedding do you use?
what are his symptoms?
