Seller on e bay plaguarized listing with my photo - even watermarked!

IMagine ! I was hunting on Ebay and saw a picture of my pheasants ! Not even cropped, just took my picture. I will say as soon as I complained he took it right down, but still, I felt invaded.

I've got a very intelligent six year old and she can NOT even read more than second grade level and with all that detailed instructions, how in the heck this granddaughter be able to use that computer and be able to READ how to post pictures. For goodness sakes, get an older person to do it, like a teenager! At least they are able to read the instructions to her and she can say, yes or no to the terms and instructions.

Still, she did wrong and she really needs to go and correct her listings. Bottom line!

Wow...think I'm about to boycott ebay...

And to a 6 year old grandchild being behind the confusion...I have a 5 and a 6 year old...my 5 year old is one smart cookie (smarter than his older brother) and there is no way that he could upload pictures to ebay or do ebay listings period. That excuse just doesn't hold water.

AND if she's so disabled that she can barely (if at all) feed and take care of herself...how the heck does she take care of chickens!!??!!

She (or he) is stealing pictures to represent what they "have"...maybe the goods that they are selling are ill gotten too?

So who gathers and ships her eggs if she cant even do the computer? Being disable doesnt give her right to steal anyones photos. And why on earth would a 6 year old be posting auctions ? Limited use of her hands ok fine, but if she can type she can take her own photos. she clearly typed out emails. Instead of using her health or whatever as a excuse she should just say I am very sorry and just be honest. Why run on about her issues which has nothing to do with what she did. Its a moral issue not a physical issue. I will never buy eggs off eBay ever agai myself. Seems they all lie about what they have.

What I think is shameful is that she is being so quick to put all the blame on a 6 year old! First she's disabled. Then she's been raped and beaten. Now it's all her granddaughter's fault. Sounds like an excuse of convenience. I mean, God forbid she has been through all she claims, I pray for her if she has, but if she hasn't and she is trying to garner sympathy to cover for her theft, that is horrible! No offense, but if I were in as bad health as she is claiming to be, I don't think making my child and grandchild put a bunch of my eggs on Ebay would be the solution to get extra money. Seems like an awful load of extra work to put on someone else. Another point people seem to be missing here: she claims she got the pic when she bought eggs from Gerry (sp?) farms on Ebay herself. But the OP said she doesn't sell eggs on ebay? Sounds like grandma cruised the internet searches for nice pics to me.

It's sellers like this that give eBay such a black eye. I don't care who was helping her with the listing or why she needed help - it is her responsibility to proof-read the listing before it is submitted - so I really don't buy any of her excuses. History has shown that most sellers like this don't last long on eBay. What goes around, comes around.

But a word of caution to anyone on BYC that also sells on eBay - make sure, in your seller preferences, that you do NOT opt in for their photo-share and catalog promotion - it will put your photos in their database for anyone to use. I made that mistake . . . once!

It looks like we need some eBay Police! I have contacted the seller, and also reported the listing to eBay.

I think you are way out of line. If that isnt your picture, you have no idea if he gave permission to use that photo or not. For all you know, that person bought eggs from him.
