Selling baby chicks.

Quote:
What is the difference between a pullet and chick?

Pullets are fully feathered and closer to laying age. There's no doubt about them being pullets vs cockerels, and they don't need to be brooded or kept separate from the flock (except for quarantine). All of which makes the investment more appealing to the buyer who wants layers but doesn't want the challenge of raising chicks.

A pullet is a young female under two years old. A started pullet is a young female that has just started to lay. A cockerel is a male younger than a year old.

A rooster is a mature male, and a hen is a mature female.

Thanks a lot for the replies people!
