Selling chicks, best way to run it, and get the word out?

But I also second learning how to study. I was smart in HS and didnt have to study, so college was a rude awakening when I was suddenly getting things wrong and didnt know how to fix it. This isnt meant as discouragement, but learning how to study will make all the schooling WAY easier.

And learn how to keep up with coursework and not cram for tests. Its soooooo much better.

hows your chick plan coming so far?

I think ti is going good! I am login to incubate my own chicks first next spring and get my barging with the incubator and the brooding and all that.

did you choose a breed or breeds? I haven't read the previous pages. this is exciting.

I've been told that cockrells are best sold at 5-6 months by the way. they're a decent size and most tasty.

I was told that Cochins and Brahamas i think would sell well, and so good in my climate. I will have to look back. I also have a friend who sells Ayam Cermamis for meat, so I can get free eggs from him. I was also wondering if I could take his eggs, and sell chicks to him too, because he buys his chicks.

If hes giving you eggs for free, I would probably give him chicks for free... but like fewer chicks than the amount of eggs since obviously you put work into them.... but I am not a savvy businessperson

Ya, if I get free eggs I won't charge him for chicks, and that is exactly why I think he would be interested, because they are his eggs, and he is buying chicks else where anyway, so free chicks would probably be great! I really just want to incubate, I could care less about the price as long as I am not loosing a bunch of money.

I don't know if it's been mentioned or not yet, but think about if you want to vaccinate the young or not. If I recall correctly, most orders for vaccines are in large batches. And I think they need to be used within a short period of time of opening them? Just something to think about.

Ah that one I'm afraid I don't remember. Probably online would be your best bet. Or maybe through a Feed Store, or a livestock vet?
