I have some CornishX that I will be processing but I’ve had some people at work ask to buy them already butchered and bagged. I’m not sure what to price them at. They aren’t “free range” but they do have a nice sized run and they do forage as well. What does everyone here charge?

I’ve checked the USDA requirements here and it’s legal. But I will check in with the local butcher on his pricing.

I posted the requirements on here as well. There are local regulations for your state as well. You might be exempt if you have under a certain amount of birds though. I didn’t read it.

In my experience I'd never cover costs selling for what a store sells. For reference I live in a rust belt/ag state that's not at all affluent. I do social media, keep interested people informed with pics and so forth. I also sell at the farmers market during its season. I've had pretty good luck at $4/lb dressed, if it's a small bird or a return customer I have no problem going down on my price a bit. I also interact with other small growers/producers for ideas and shared customers.
It's a hobby not a job, so even if I don't sell I've got meat in the freezer or for friends.
