I always liked it in AZ, especially the outlying areas at, or above, the Mogollon rim. I have been trying to convince my wife to retire there.

"Not without a pool!" she exclaims.

What does the EE stand for? Also what is the shelf life in the refrig for fresh eggs? ( If a customer asks me) thanks

Eggs in the refrigerator will last - like 6 weeks. The main culprit is drying out. But I'd play it safe and suggest something like 2 weeks... besides you want 'em coming back for more, right?

out here they're going for about 2.50-3.00 per dozon white or brown and tack on an extra 1.00 for EE.
Something about the colors really get your buyers, especially if they have kiddos.

some will take .50 off if you bring your own carton, just depends.

ok... with that said, why wouldn't you chagre $3.50 for a doz. to get your $3.00 that you really wanted in the first place....I think that's what I'm going to do, when time comes.

it's part of the "they better lay golden eggs" from DH while building the coop...

Where I live I have a lady down the road about a mile from me if that, that sells hers for $1.50. Then about 3 miles on the next road down he sells his for $2.00. He is on a more traveled road and I can see his chickens. I have never seen a chicken from down the road where she sells them for $1.50. She came to my house a bought a doz from me. Maybe she wanted to see how big mine were, IDK. I did have a sign out for $2.00 a doz but changed it to $1.50.

I am lucky, the farmer down the road going the other way gives me $10.00 for 4 doz. I try and tell him he only owes me $6.00 but he says its for gas or my birthday. LOL. And he takes all my eggs because he gives them to his SIL, DS, DD, and keeps a doz for himself.

So I sell them for $1.50 because of the lady down the road but I get $2.50. I only get a doz a day but I have about 20 pullets that were born on Easter so I hoping to have more eggs in Sept. And if someone new wants to buy eggs I always give them the first doz free. I know I'm not making money to pay for all their food but that's OK. I love my chickens and the little I do get helps.
