Sell them on here as hatching eggs. (or Ebay... have you seen the prices going for them online? http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=360003894469 http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=360000408797 ) $1-$2 an egg!

Then the ones that aren't separated can be used for the lumber/hardware store.

You just rescued some birds right...well you could put in your freecycle add that you just did this and trying to take care of some of the costs... Which you are...FEED BILL!

Eggs here are going for $2.00 for store bought white, rbown "free range" at the store are $3.50. You could advertise cheaper than the grocery store.

Get a magnet for the side of your car with your phone number on it with "Farm Fresh Eggs"

Ok thats all I got for now.

P.S. You are tempting me with eggs.

I am planning on taking my extra eggs (HA HA, mine aren't even laying yet...but I'm being optimistic!!) and making homemade egg noodles and angel food cakes and selling them. I work at a hospital, and those folks go nuts for stuff like that. We also have a little hosp newspaper that comes out once a month, and I thought I'd advertise in there. I may see whether I can use the church kitchen, as they have more space and ovens. Go there once a week to make noodles and bake.

have you seen that stuff in the EggCartons.com catalog where you can save eggs, unrefridgerated for 1 year? I plugs all the pores. It's called Ke-Peg Egg Preserver. Anybody ever tried it? I'm wondering if that would be a good way to preserve eggs for later use.

I sell them in Central Indiana for $2:50 a dz with a new clear plastic carton and $2.00 a dz if they bring back a clean clear carton. I get alot more people from the city and my wifes work who buy them if they look nicer in the carton. I buy the pre-labeled clear cartons from eggcartons.com for about .40 each including shipping.
I get about 2 dz per day in the winter and 3 dz in summer. My problem is I am at work all day and don't get much time to go sell.
A friend said he saw a sign out on a country Rd and stopped and they had a small dorm refrigerator on the porch with pricing on door and a small lock box mounted on the fridge and they said only a few times thru the years have they had anyone steal eggs.
I may try the street sign and porch refrigerator this spring.
