Selling Silkies

Hello! I am hoping to start a small business selling Silkies, but I am a total newbie. I was wondering if y'all had any advice?

Well I sell eggs to neighbors and friends ,but not chickens, we plan on selling some later this year

My advice, most people enjoy chickens much more as a hobby than as a for profit business. Honestly most people are doing well if they just make enough money to cover the cost of feed.

How much property do you have? Are you planning to have an indoor set up, outdoor setup, how many coops/pens? How many chickens can your space hold? Are you planning to cater to people looking to show, people just looking for fluffy pets, or the meat market? What's the demand for silkies in your area? These are some things you'll need to consider before you get started, especially if your goal is to have a business (ie, raising silkies for profit)
