Semantics for newbies

Just curious, at what age does a chick become a pullet and a pullet become a hen?

To the best of my understanding, they are born pullets and when they start laying they are considered hens. I'm new to chickens too so someone correct me if I'm wrong.

Pullet is a female under 1 year old
Hen is a female over 1 year old
Started pullet is a young female chickens that are nearly old enough to lay
