I had thought about just using the tank that way, but was trying to keep the artistic beuty of the toilet intact.
As a side note a tank could be mounted in the same way to the top of rain barrels to create a shut off valve when they're full, just run a gutter downspout into the tank mounted onto a barrel. Not 100% why this would be useful as my design on that at the moment leaves the gutter draining into the tank which would then be overflowing.
