We live in Bountiful, UT and they are having a city council meeting tonight from 7-9 pm to discuss possibly allowing chickens hereabouts. Bountiful Citizens for Chickens has been working on this for quite a while and it seems they are pretty close to changing the ordinance. My 12 year old son, on hearing this, has gone door to door over the past 4 days, collecting signatures--he's has managed to get 100 signatures on his petition to allow chickens. Out of all the people he talked to, only 12 declined to sign (I think it has something to do with his big blue eyes!). He is presenting his petition to the city council tonight.
