How do I go about keeping my 8 week old chicken's food separate from my hen's layer feed? They are currently all "together" but I still have them separated so the younger chickens can't get to the hens food. But what happens when I let them out, free to mingle with each other? I know the younger ones can't eat the layer feed yet but I'm not sure of the best way to keep them from doing so?
