i am getting some pigeons tomorrow, long story short they came from an abuse situation and have been together their whole lives. there are 7 pigeons, 6 are healthy and 1 is not (brain injury and won’t ever be able to fly again). anyways, i am taking some of the healthy ones and someone else i keeping the non healthy one (to give it better medical care, by keeping it as an indoor only pigeon) and i was wondering if it’ll be sad or lonely without it’s friends

Here are my thoughts.
I read your other posts, and know you are down to one pigeon. I know you wanted to adopt some for a while. :hugs for your kind efforts.
I think if you are going to adopt the 6 healthy ones, just take the less than healthy one as well. It is not like he comes with a disease. Just give him the best care you can,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, meaning, provide food, and shelter. If he goes over the rainbow bridge, than just accept that. I really do not see anyone out there that would be able to take better care of him than you. :love
People like yourself that will take in unwanted pigeons are scarce.
People that would take in less than perfect unwanted pigeons are even more scarce. No one has shown up before you to do so. :idunno

WISHING YOU BEST,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, :hugs

i really want too, i’m just not sure how to keep an indoor pigeon since i never have (anyone have advice on that?) the person who rescued them is going to try to find someone with another disabled pigeon to take him (that way he can have a friend but also not be picked on by the other males). sadly he wasn’t born disabled, but he was abused and neglected in his former home for months-years :(

thank you ❤️
