I have a Cayuga and my house mate has a Pekin and the two have been best friends since the day we got them (2 months ago) .. They are inseperable and I've never seen them more than 2 feet apart from each other. Unfortunately, I am going to be moving away and will be taking the Cayuga with me... when we separate them (even for 2 minutes) they flippppp out! Will they get over the separation after I move? Or will they become sadness and depressed when they are alone? They have lots of Chicken friends... but not too sure how they will do without eachother..

They will get over it but it can be very stressful when flocks are torn apart. They have strong social bonds and have basically became a family. If they are going to be separated I would suggest adding another duck once you move because ducks really do best with others of their kind
