Seperating a hen

One of my hens got sick the lady I spoke to said it wound take 10days for her to get better if I separate her will they have to form a new pecking order even if she will be right by the run?

Yes she will be somewhat 'new' when she goes back, but likely she'll be the same place as before, just make sure she's healthy and strong going in, and at night. Good that they can still see each other...but what sickness does she have...

Hmmm...do chickens get colds? Who told you this, are they qualified...I am a little jumpy about anything respiratory as it can travel fast to others..hope she'll be OK.
