Cheryl, yes, my husband and I went to the Deerfield fair with my granddaughter on Thursday am.......the first day it was open and it was an extremely gorgeous day!
We wanted to be there early to see the Poultry in the poultry barn before it got crowded. Wow.......did we see some beautiful birds, ducks, and turkeys.
Some of them were tagged for sale and you could purchase them after the judging was finished.
My husband had his eye on some standard Gold Laced Wyandottes but weren't prepared for the price nor to take them home in our car.
But we hope to attend many more shows and swaps. I think we have both gone chicken crazy.....haha......been even thinking about hatching and raising some of our own chicks but not sure about the winter coming and don't want all these birds in our house as they grow fast.
