I'm glad mine are sent and in an incubator. I think the eggs for me are going out tomorrow....I too have eggs incubating still I can't wait for mine to arrive I wonder what they are? Being that this is my first time participating it's exciting hatching chicks is too much fun.

I am patiently waiting for mine. I actually candled the ones that I set in my incubator a couple days before I sent my eggs out and out of 11 eggs 7 are definitely developing 3 are questionable and one seems to be clear but giving until day 14 or smelly before removing. Now I just hope they keep developing.

Now I need to get started on building my cabinet incubator. I got a free non-working dorm fridge from the auction house I work at on Thursdays. They were gonna throw it away. So much fun I love building incubators.

I am definitely taking lots of pictures this time around. I didn't with the last one and then after it was done realized that I could have entered it into the contest but didn't take but one picture while doing it. The first one is made out of an old air force trunk that my uncle used to use when he was in the air force back in the early 70's. I repainted as it sat in a barn for 30 years but I shellacked (sp?) the orders that were glued to the front and painted the top with chalkboard paint so I can write on it.

Haven't decided how to do the fridge one yet. Maybe cause I am afraid of letting my fiance know that I am starting a new one. Lol. Its hidden in the basement.

I got my eggs this morning. Sorry I didn't post sooner. It's been a crazy day. That is a much better way to send quail eggs. I just don't have any of those trays. I definately need to get some. Do you know off hand of a place that they are reasonabley priced. I found 2 places and they are the same. Like $10 for 12/50 egg trays, I think it was. I would have to look it up again. One of those was eggcartons.com

I buy mine at GQF Manufacturing and they are the cheapest place that I have found. They sale 15 for $6.75 and then a box of 100 for $20.25 and then shipping to your address. Bout time to order more. The web address is www.gqfmfg.com. I usually use 2 of them to ship eggs. Each full tray holds 50 eggs and I normally put the eggs in one tray and then cover it with another tray but I had one tray that had been cut so I just padded it good and put them in a larger box for you. Was hoping they made it ok like that ~ so glad that they did.

All eggs made it perfectly. Fantastic packing. I'll go to that site and order some trays. I just wish the quail trays for the turner had arrived today also. I ordered 2 sets. And I could fill them up now. Hopefully they will arrive tomorrow. I can't wait to get a cabinet bator. I sure need one with all these quail eggs.
I do have a question off subject. I wormed my chickens yesterday with Wazine. Can I cook the eggs and feed them back to the chickens? I know I can't use them for eathing and I hate for them to go to waste. I've incubated them before and given them away for the same purpose and most of them hatched everytime. If there is somebody that would like to incubate them and just pay for the shipping just PM me. I plan to wait 2 weeks before saving them for eating. I just got a new roo so I have to wait a little bit to make sure the other roos "genes" are gone and this roo's are there. He is already taking care of business.

The eggs are EE hens and a Silkie roo, the new roo is an Ameracana. So you could get either I reckon.
