SEPTEMBER EGG SWAP . . . . . . October Swap starting soon!!!!!

Quote:
I'm giving them away for somebody to hatch. So far the ones I gather till Wednesday are taken. If anybody else wants some just let me know. Just pay for the shipping is all I ask. I also have RIR hens with a Blue Orphington. Both breeds are young so I have no idea on fertility. I know he's working on it though. If anybody wants some I'll collect for 3 days then send them. I'm also marking the eggs as to what laid them and the date collected.

PippyChicken your eggs are on the way! I sent a box full - Let me know how they do! I have some in the bator that is due to move to the hatcher this weekend so I guess we'll see if they are fertile or not.

Do you have the tracking number?

I'll be sending mine monday. I finally got my eggs in the bator. I've been waiting for 2 sets of quail racks and one came today. I was able to make room in the other bator for the chicken eggs and the other is full of quail now. I need my other set to get here. I bought them from a BYC'er. I figured I would get those first. But I haven't even heard back from them about it.

Unfortunately the stupid P.O. didn't update the tracking info until 10am this morning it was still saying notified that the package would be sent. Then at 10 it updated 3 things and went to out for delivery.

Can't tell about the air sack as they are to dark even w/my spotlight. I am sure I will be able to tell at day 7 about the air sack as I couldn't see it in mine until then either. How do you people see it on brown eggs? I can see on blue/green so I assume you can see on white as well. I know people see on brown I just don't know how. Can't get any brighter than my 3,000,000 candlepower spotlight, except to put egg closer to light but that would roast the chick. As it is if I leave my cardboard contraption on there too long it starts to smoke. Have to turn off between eggs.

How long should I leave eggs settle before putting in the incubator?
