Not sure about how they label anything. I had to contact the Admin of this string to see what my eggs would be. Thanks again for all the input and advice Emvickrey!

No problem. I'm glad to see you entered.

I can't wait to see who my partners will be. One of my boxes will go out asap as I have plenty of eggs of that kind and the other will go out a little later. I'm getting a new roo and I want him to have his work done

so somebody gets some good and fertile eggs. I may send a couple extra's for an additional surprise.

The surprise will be inside. Kinda like Cracker Jacks.

Bummer, but I have to bow out this month. 3 of my 4 hens are brooding, so one lonely hen won't give me 6 eggs close enough together for a viable hatch...maybe next month I'll have better luck!

I wish I had a Broody hen. Thats why I got Orphingtons because I hear they are notorious for going broody. They just aren't old enough to even lay an egg yet. I'm hoping next year i'll get a break with the incubators.

Mine had been going since the end of February. I did take s short break but back at it again. I need a cabinet incubator is what I need. I use 2 LG and they are getting to where we are haivng to adjust the temps all the time and the humidity is hard to get up to 50%, Then I have a Hovobator that I use as the lock down bator and it is great. It stays stable. I think it's the weather doing it. It cooled off and I turned off the airconditioner in their room. I had it set at78 degrees and on energy saver so it maintained a good temp. This winter will be a challenge because we heat with space heaters. I would love to be able to move to a place that had central air and heat. I just don't know how the people do it that put their bators outside and just let them do their thing. Seems the temp would go up and down aot and overheat in the winter. Someone posted once that they kept theirs outside even in winter, it's an old refrigerator. I just don't understand how to keep them stable. It's a real chore for me to hatch eggs when the weather changes. I usually end up fixing alot of spraddle legs and curled toes.

**PLEASE REVIEW THE RULES IN POST 1 AND REMEMBER**

Please post only that you want to enter this months swap - DO NOT POST WHAT YOU HAVE OR WHAT YOU WANT TO THIS THREAD

Last month, I was slack on this rule but I think it's more fun with everybody keeping things a mystery. I want this to be fun for everyone so I don't mind the chatter on this thread. A lot of you are new to this swap but it was created to be a mystery swap and some do not like knowing what they have received until it hatches. Its best to only post that you are entering or to ask any questions in the beginning . . . then once you receive your eggs you can post away. Post guesses on what you think that your eggs might be, beg your sender to tell you what they are, post updates on candleing and by all means, pictures of your chicks.

THANKS EVERYBODY

OH! I will be changing a few rules for the October swap but the major change will be a category change! A lot of breeders do not consider EE, Olive Eggers and Sizzles pure. With the rules as they are these breeds get put into the pure and mixed catagory depending on who is sending them and if they think they are pure or not so next month we will have the following catagories . . . .

LF Pure
Bantam Pure
LF Mixed
Bantam Mixed
LF Designer Breed and Projects (includes EE, Olive Eggers, Sex links, sizzles, other popular crosses)
Bantam Designer Breed and Projects (same as above but bantam size)
Waterfowl
Other

More details to follow!!
