So heads-up guys!!

CountryPantry says that her eggs arrived safe and sound, and are in the bator already! This is so much fun!!

I'd love it if everyone who has received eggs could share what they got and how they look, etc!

Thanks for sharing to those who have! I live vicariously...

woo hoo I got my eggs today 10 quail eggs. When I saw the box I was scared (one side was just smashed in, but they were packed so well that all of them made it. We are so excited as we have been wanting to get some quail! My DH has been nervous when I told him we were getting mystery eggs and I would not know what they were until they got here. He is now doing the happy dance with me!!! Now to wait and see what kind of quail they are.

Got one question though. . . how many days for quail and what day to stop turning? I will post some pics once I start putting them in bator. I plan to put them in around midnight

If the eggs are white with brown spots, they are coturnix. They take about 18 days to hatch, but can hatch as early as day 15 or up to 23 days. Congrats!

Yours from me will go out tomorrow

ok now i got to post a picture. Looks like maybe 3 of them are white base. So what day do I stop the turner? day 14?

These are the first quail eggs I have ever seen though so I will post pics later to let you guys help me.

I am looking forward to seeing the tiny button eggs. Thanks

Okay, let me rephrase that. If they have brown spots on them, they are coturnix. Any type of bobwhite eggs would be pure white, and button eggs are teeny tiny. I believe your swapper only has coturnix. But you'll want to stop turning them about day 14-15, but too early or late won't bother them, they are tough little birds!
