September Egg Swap--Sign-ups closed--check posts for shipping updates!

Right now I have Black Copper, French White, and Cuckoo Marans, some D'uccles, some Seramas, Jersey Giants, and Runner ducks in my incubators.

The Runners will be the last to hatch. Then I'm done.

Right now I have about 50 chicks (including guinea keets) and I have about 40 eggs waiting to hatch.

I'm soooooooooooooooo done. LOL

Ok, sorry I haven't been around. Two of the little eggies hatched, so I have one OEGB and one DCB. So now Jen wherever you are, I am going to have to hit you up for some eggs come spring

, I definately want more then one of each of these cuties. The last egg is still in there but it has been plenty long enough and there is some fluid in the air cell that seems to be building up, So I am pretty sure it's a lost cause. I was sp hoping that both the OEGB's would hatch

. Oh well...

What is a DCB??

I think my hatch is done. From the 7 sussex eggs that were originally set (1 was cracked during shipping) there were 5 that went to the hatcher. 2 of these hatched. I candled the others last night to see if there was any other action, and at least one of those has a good-sized clearish spot in the middle area of the egg, so it was most likely dead when I set it in the hatcher.

So out of 2 sets of eggs, I have 2 chicks

Not the best, but better than nothing I guess.

I'm sorry to hear that, sounds like neither of us had real good luck. The DCB she put on the paper as a Dark Cornish Bantam egg. Figures the little loner egg hatchrd fine and only one of the six OEGB's made it. I definatly want to find out the colors of them and get some more in the spring.

Hi all! Just wanted to update on my little hatch.

Of the 9 beautiful eggs Tennessee sent me only 1 made it to lockdown. I had some problems with the bator which i think impacted a few of them. I had 4 up until day 18. anyhow, that one lone little egg hatched last night. OMG, it is SOOO cute!
I took a couple pics as I was moving it into the brooder.
