I'll be wanting to see pics of her as she grows, ok?? LOTS of pics, lol.

Featherbaby: Just don't give up...it's worth it. If you're not ready again so soon, you could always wait til spring, it seems to go a bit easier that time of the year. My motto is 'Try, try, try again.' We're all here with you. Got lots of people to ask lots of questions, and don't be shy....ask away.

Oh, btw, I have 45 Coturnix eggs that made it to lockdown yesterday. Had to toss 8.

One pip on day 19 of my Modern Game Bantam eggs! I can't wait to see what these little guys are going to look like. They are from my Brown Red Rooster and Splash hen.

I wasnt going to do it, but I did...I put eggs in the incubator! Sunday I put in 5 Golden Cuckoo marans eggs, and 12 blue barred bantam cochins. I hope that some of them hatch! My incubator is not staying at a constant temperature, it keeps going from 98.5 up to 101...so hopefully they do okay! I am going to try to candle them tomorrow and see whats happening!

To make things worse, I ordered a dozen golden cuckoo marans eggs from another breeder, and a dozen BBS standard cochin eggs from yet another breeder, he also sent me a couple of light sussex eggs as a bonus! As if I need another breed! I am hoping to get them in a different incubator by friday! Dang this chicken thing is out of control!!!

Good luck to everyone!

You fit right in with the rest of us and I'd have golden cuckoo eggs in mine too if they were old enough to lay

instead I have black coppers and partridge rocks in mine oh and 1 dellie....

I just had 5 golden cuckoo eggs to put in, so hopefully something will hatch! I am hoping to get some banty cochin hens to keep in with my big birds to hatch the eggs for me, the incubator is too stressful! Until I can get a good incubator I think I should leave it to the hens! I am excited about the golden cuckoo eggs that I bought though, they are from feather shanked birds!!! I am hoping for a rooster! Is that wrong?!?
